Edmonton Startup Jobber Opens Toronto Office To Keep Pace With Global Growth

Jobber, the software platform that helps home service businesses be more successful, announced the opening of its Toronto, Canada office to support the rapid growth of its global customer base. Jobber will be located at the OneEleven Scale-Up Hub, home to some of the fastest growing tech startups and disruptive corporate partners in Canada's innovation ecosystem.

"We're really excited to announce the opening of a Jobber office in downtown Toronto," says Sam Pillar, Jobber's co-founder and CEO. "Edmonton has been a fantastic place to grow Jobber to date, and we've been fortunate to thrive as one of the city's fastest growing tech companies. As we gain momentum and push through the 100 employee mark, establishing a Toronto office to grow alongside Edmonton will help ensure we're able to continue providing the industry-leading product and experience the market has come to expect from us."

Jobber also announces the addition of David McIninch to the executive team as VP of Marketing, responsible for overseeing the growth and go-to-market strategy of the company, in addition to leading the new Toronto office. David brings over 15 years of experience as an executive and marketing leader for both large public companies and growth-stage startups. "I am thrilled to be joining Jobber at this point in its evolution. It's a phenomenal company in an innovative and growing space, with incredible people. It's very exciting to be responsible for continuing to drive the growth of the company, and scaling our organization outside of Edmonton."

Since receiving $8-million of series A financing in 2015 led by OMERS Ventures, Jobber now serves tens of thousands of users in over 30 countries who deliver more than USD $100-Million in services each month. Home service companies rely on Jobber to help them run every aspect of their business — from quoting jobs and managing team schedules to billing, invoicing and payments, Jobber makes running a service business easy.
"Mobile field service management is a multi-billion dollar industry worldwide," says Jim Orlando, Managing Partner at OMERS Ventures. "We believe that Jobber is uniquely positioned to offer a differentiated technology solution to make these small businesses run better. Expanding to Toronto will allow Jobber to increase its global footprint, service its customers better, and sustain their tremendous growth."
