Primus announces a multi-year renewal agreement that extends its long-standing partnership as the exclusive national provider of residential telecommunications services to Costco Canada members.
Costco members will continue to enjoy preferred prices from Primus on Unlimited High Speed Internet, Digital (VoIP) and Traditional Home Phone, and Long Distance services with this multi-year renewal, which builds upon a successful 10+ year partnership.
Primus is also pleased to make available to Costco members new Internet speeds of up to 250 Mbps. In response to growing demand from consumers to support more Internet-connected devices within the home and the desire for richer, higher definition digital content, Primus has introduced these new Internet speeds in select Ontario markets. This initiative enables Primus to continue to offer a relevant and competitive choice for those consumers looking for a smart alternative to incumbent providers.
According to the CRTC's 2016 Communications Monitoring Report, Canadians are consuming more audio and video content on digital media and over devices connected to the Internet. Twenty percent of Canadians report listening to online music streaming services, and 57% of Anglophones and 49% of Francophones report watching online TV. The new higher speed Internet offers from Primus include plans with unlimited usage, anti-spam and e-mail virus protection, and 24/7 access to Canadian technical support associates.
